Biography
Edward was born on 27 March 1831 and baptised in India. [1]
Edward Charles Sparshott Williams, son of John Williams, married Maria Jane Voyle on 9 June 1855 in Rangoon, Bengal, India.[2] Maria Jane Williams was buried on 24 March 1857 in Bengal, India.[3]
General Sir Edward Charles Sparshott Williams married Charlotte Clementina Bruce, daughter of Thomas Bruce of Arnot and Henrietta Dorin, on 19 January 1860 at St. Mary's, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England.[4]
In the 1881 census Edward (age 50), Colonel R E (Active List), was the widowed head of household in Kensington, London, Middlesex, England.[5]

Edward's death (age 76) was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1907 in the Kensington district.[7] He was mentioned on a memorial in Highland Road Cemetery, Portsmouth, Portsmouth Unitary Authority, Hampshire, England with a death date of 2 October 1907.[8] Edward died on 2 October 1907 and his estate passed probate on 4 November 1907 in London, England. Beneficiary's Name Hugh Bruce Williams, Second Beneficiary's Name Henry George Swayne Williams.[9]
