Maj.-Gen Sir William Williams, K.C.B. (1776-1832)
Served in Egypt 1801; Major in 81st Foot 26 October 1804; served in Peninsula November 1808 to January 1809; Lieutenant-Colonel in 60th Foot 15 November 1809; commanded 5/60 Foot Peninsula June 1810 to June 1812; exchanged to 13th Foot 25 June 1812; brevet Colonel 12 August 1819; Major-General 1830; died 1832.
