Biography

Mary was born on 20 Mar 1811 in Windsor, Hartford Co, CT. She was the 8th child of Ebenezer Williams (1768-1844) and Martha (Porter) Williams (1774-1851). Very shortly after her birth, her family moved to their new home in Painesville, OH.

Mary became the second wife of Truman Hastings Esq. (1798-1884) on 6 Apr 1837 in Painesville Twp, Geauga Co, OH. He had two living children from his previous marriage; they had two more children together:

• Franklin Williams Hastings (1839-1928) - married Margaretta K Smiley.
• Martha Porter (Hastings) Williams (1842-1917) - married her cousin, William Williams.

Mary passed away on 20 Feb 1891 in Cleveland, OH. She is buried in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.^[7]
