Biography

She does not appear in the 1851 Census, however there is an Esther Jones of the correct age working as a servant at the home of the Jones family at Craig y Don. The surname Jones may have been applied to the servant by mistake. At the time of her marriage, she was living at Tan Rhiw. This suggests that she had taken a position as a servant in the house of Ellen Parry.
