Biography
He was a servant at Plastirion in 1830 when he was married. He was of Didfa in 1834, Bryn y Clochydd in 1836 (though still working as a servant at Plastirion) and Buartha by 1841. In 1850 he is of Bryn y Fawnog and from 1851 on he is working in a slate quarry and resides at Tyn yr Ardd.
In 1841 he is enumerated next to Martha Williams, 20 years his senior and also born in Llandwrog. It is tempting to think she may be his mother, but there is no baptismal record in Llandwrog to support the idea.
