I am still looking into that branch of the family. I lot of the records are scant around the Civil War.
Adeline Williams may have been their only child, born in 1856. Adeline Williams Sikes was my father’s GGmother. He passed on to me a family story about his great grandmother’s ancestry being of unknown origin, as she was an orphan, possibly of Cherokee descent. The names Ramona Claiborne and John T. Williams as her parents were obtained from Ancestry.com.
