John Williams was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
John Kerr Williams was born at "Belltrees", Scone, NSW on 30 September 1891, the son of David Williams and Isabella Kerr.[1]
John Williams is an Anzac who served in World War One.
John Kerr Williams enlisted on 9 October 1916. He attained the rank of Corporal and served in 21 Machine Gun Battalion. He returned to Australia on 12 April 1919.[2] At the time of his enlistment he was an Articled Clerk. John's enlistment papers originally record his mother as his next of kin. However this was altered to his father. At that time, his parents were living in Winchcombe Avenue, Haberfield.[3]
John Kerr Williams, son of David Williams and Isabella Kerr, married Gertrude Irene Harris, daughter of Henry Vincent Harris and Emily Rose Nicholas, in Sydney NSW on 20 November 1920.[4] They had two children, one of whom may still be living.
John Kerr Williams passed away at Toronto, NSW on 8 May 1961.[5]. He was survived by
