Williams, Cecil Porter, 84 of Clifton, died Sunday, July 9, 2000 at 10:30 am in Hospitality Homes, East. He was born January 27, 1916 in Beatty, Ohio, the son of Charles and Julia A (Strick) Williams. Cecil was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy. He retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in 1973 after 32 years service as chief of civil engineering. He was a member of St Paul's Catholic church of Yellow springs. Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Larry) Steenstry of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; 2 grandchildren, Maria (Dan) Girard an Brian (Pamela) Steenstry; four great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, and Jack Girard, Benjamin Steenstry; and three sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Bundschub of Fremont, Dorothy Feasby and Lily Cheesebro, both of Van Wert; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, Karen and Kenneth Carr. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth R Williams and his second wife, Edith E Williams; a grandson, Jacob; a sister and three brothers. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 6 to 8 pm in the Ingling Williams Funeral Home, Cedarville Chapel. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 1:30 pm in the St Paul's Catholic church with Father Raudabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Clifton Cemetery.
