OBITUARY. The late Mrs. Strang. In connection with the death of the late Mrs. Strang, senr., a correspondent has kindly furnished us with the following:—"The late Mrs. Strang was born at Kircaldie (Scotland) in 1816 and come to Tasmania in the early "thirties," Here she married Dr. David Strang, of Campbelltown, who held a Government appointment there for many years. Dr. and Mrs. Strang came to this State, settling near Goulburn, which was their place of residency until 1883, when Dr. Strang"crossed the borderland." Some 22 years ago the deceased came to the Inverell district. Mrs. Strang had been ailing for some time, being attended by Dr. Morton. Although 90 years of age at the time of her decease, the old lady retained all possession of her faculties to the last. The funeral took place at Gum Flat on Monday afternoon, an impres sive service being conducted by the Rev. Mr. Tolhurst. assisted by the Rev. Mr Walker.
