When Frances Williamson was born in 1816 in Little Walsingham, Norfolk, her father, William, was 40, and her mother, Hannah, was 46. She married Robert Howell on 14 October 1834 in her hometown. They had seven children in 18 years. She died on 22 February 1866 in Little Walsingham, Norfolk, at the age of 50, and was buried there.
