She attended Rutgers College. She was a member of the National Society of Magna Charta Dames and Barons, and served as secretary and chairman of publicity of the New Brunswick Red Cross chapter and President of the New Brunswick Branch of the Needlework Guild of America. In 1930, she and her two siblings each inherited one-third of her uncle C.J. Bulkeley's estate.
