Biography

James was born in 1812. He was the son of Peter Williamson and Rebecca Green. He died in 1896 at the age of 84.

Spouse: Melinda (Green) Williamson 1814 - 1905. They were married 11/11/1838 in Hocking, Ohio. Per Ohio Marriages, 1800 - 1958. Findagrave #44024018

His spouse, Melinda was the daughter of Hezekiah Green 1788 - 1872 and Esther (Willison) Green 1796 - 1864. James' mother, Rebecca, and Melinda's father, Hezekiah, were half-siblings with the same father, Regnal Green. They lived in Licking county for their entire lives.[1][2]

They possibly had as many as fourteen children from 1841 to1859 and all of them were born in Licking county, Ohio.[3][4] Melinda may have been born later than 1814 and closer to 1820, based on the range of child birth years.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:
