Mary Hannah Travis nee Williamson is my Greate Grandmother, she was 19 yrs old in 1871 born in Bredbury & working as a Hat Trimmer according to the 1871 CensusI know little of her, except that she had 12 children & took to her bed at the age of 40. I believe she was Burried in St. Thomases church in Hyde, although I am unable to substantiate this.William Williamson my Grandfathers Maternal Grandfather I also know little of but hear it is:-My G.F. was something of a favourite of his & stayed at his home often as a childe & told me his G.M. (Louesa) was a tiny lady but ruled William with a rod of iron, W.W.had a liking of strong smelly cheese & if Louesa smelt it she would give him a stern look & say William where upon he would exit the room rapidly. Also the 1871 census has him as a Joiner & Builder my G.F. told me he had a workplace with a lot of valueable seasoned timber in it & that he did restoration work to the wood carved pannels at Lime Hall in Disley Cheshire. I hope this helps you my e-mail address is keith.... 1

On his sons death cert (Charles Frederick Williamson), occupation for William Williamson listed as contractor ( I need to recheck that this wasnt carpenter). 1
