Biography
Henderson County, Kentucky court records show that Zachariah Willingham was the father of Margaret Long Willingham's first four children. Margaret married Lazarus in 1837. The orphan children of Zachariah could not belong to her. Lazarus is shown with wife Mary in 1850 census. She died after 1850 leaving Lazarus with her children. Lazarus remarried April 5, 1852 to a Judith E. Sandefer. The January County Court, January 23, 1860 Henderson County, Kentucky appointed Lazarus guardian for Levisa Belle Willingham, Euphemia Willingham, William Jasper Willingham, and Mary A. Willingham, orphans of Zachariah Willingham, deceased. The source photo is attached to profile. Mary, widow of Zachariah, had to have become a widow around 1848 as her youngest child by Zachariah is 2 years old in 1850. Zachariah died between 1848 & 1850.
