Biography

Nollie Ruth Willis was born in October of 1880 in Makanda, Jackson County, Illinois to John H. Willis and Mary Francis (Rushing) Willis and she is listed with her parents (and two siblings) on the 1900 Census.^[1] She married George W. Lewis on September 17, 1905 in Jackson County, Arkansas.^[2] They are listed together in Woodruff, Arkansas on the 1920 Census.^[3] On both: the 1930 Census^[4] and the 1940 Census^[5] she is listed as divorced with one son; William Orlando Lewis in her household. She passed away in December of 1965 at the age of 85 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.^[6]
