Ellen was born in 1828. She is the daughter of James Willis and Elizabeth Woodcock.
She came to Western Australia with her parents on the Protector, arriving on 26 February 1830.[1]
Ellen married Frederick Le Mesurier on 20 April 1848 at Fremantle.[2] They did not have any children in Western Australia.
She moved to South Australia where she married John Henry Taylor in 1857.
