Biography

Willard was born in 1919. He passed away in 2014.

W. H. was born in Schoolfield, Virginia and moved with his family to Gibsonville, Alamance, North Carolina where he completed his draft registration card. ^[1]

W.H. enlisted in the US Army in 1939. He served with the Sixth Army in the South Pacific for 40 months during WW II. ^[2]

After his release from service, he married Lovie Jane White. He felt his calling was to the ministry but because he had not finished college “the Ordaining Counsel could not ordain him at that time”. Determined, W.H. obtained his college degree and was ordained on October 15,1948. He was a Free Will Baptist minister. After preaching for over 55 years, he had to retire because of his health.^{[3] [4]}

W.H. and Lovie had a daughter and son.
