Biography

Smith Willis was a Revolutionary War soldier. He entered the service in Northampton Co. PA. Aug. 1779. Fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain, October 1780. He was only 15 years old at the time. He also lived in York Co. PA., Washington Co. VA where he married Mary McMullen (Nicholas Regan officiated). Then he moved to Wayne Co. KY. Then to Morgan Co. TN. Smith Willis moved from Wayne Co., KY around 1828.
