Joshua Willis was born in 1682 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts. His parents were Comfort Willis and Hannah Unknown.
He married Experience Barbour on February 04, 1706

The will of Joshua Willis of Bridgewater was dated 1 September 1753 and proved on 5 June 1758 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife, Experience, and his children, Joshua Willis, Jaob Willis, Abishai Willis, Silas Willis, and Martha Harden, decd., the late wife of Samuel Harden, and his granddaughters, Anna Harden, wife of John Harden, Betty Gurney, wife of Benjamin Gurney. His inventory was taken on 2 November 1758 in Bridgewater.[2]
In 1763, an account of his estate by Silas Willis was recorded which included, funeral charges, doctors' bills, debts paid, administration fees, and gravestones.[3]
