Wade was born in 1892. Wade Willis ... He passed away in 1936. [1]
Wade's death certificate and hi WWI draft card show Wade's birth information as being born on March 20, 1893 in Centralia, IL.
The 1900 & 1910 Census shows Wade as living in Chicago with his parents and brother.
In June of 1917 Wade registered for the US armed forces.
On November 30, 1917 Wade filed paperwork to become a soldier in the Canadian armed forces claiming to be born in Canada. (All other information confirms this is this Wade Willis)
On March 2, 1921 Wade married Elsie Hanson in Crystal Falls, MI
Wade's children were born in 1924, 1925 and 1926. Sometime between their 3rd child being conceived and August 22, 1927, Wade and Elsie were divorced. (Elsie remarried on August 22)
At some point later, Wade married Clara.
Wade died on August 15, 1936 in Chicago, IL. He was buried in Woodman (Woodrome) Cemetery in Ashley, IL. (The cemetery is supposed to be located in Ashley Township, Section 28, but I have not been able to locate either the cemetery nor his grave on the internet)
On his US military file he is listed as an 'unemployed clerk.' On his Canadian military file he is listed as a 'mechanic.' And on his death certificate, Wade was listed as being a 'switchman'(for the railroad?)
