Biography

Anne Willis of Moneen was born in county Cavan about 1830.

Sarah Willis aged 19 - daughter born Co Fermanagh
Ann Willis aged 70 - sister-in-law (retired farmer) born Co. Cavan
Elizabeth Willis aged 60 - sister-in-law (retired farmer) born Co Fermanagh
Daniel MC Legart (servant) aged 21 born Co Fermanagh

Anne never married, she died on the 28th February 1910 age 80, and was buried in the St.John Church of Ireland grave yard, Florencecourt. Anne left her estate to her nephew, William Willoughby Willis, farming at Moneen.

Anne and her younger sister Elizabeth Willis were Methodists and attended the old Preaching House at Wheathill, Advocate Christmas Number 1909 “There are not many of the old members who remain who worshipped in the old house at Wheathill, we have good friends in Miss Anne and Miss Lizzie Willis of Moneen.” [2]
