Some researchers believe her to be the daughter of Benjamin Willoughby, who died in Greene Co about 1808. I believe it more likely, based on Bible records, that she was the oldest child of Elijah and Susannah (Leachman) Willoughby. Her marriage bond was signed by Elijah Willoughby.
Rhoda and her husband moved with Elijah and Enoch (maybe more) to Montgomery Co KY. They are found in the 1820 and 1830 census in Montgomery Co. Wm. Moreland died in 1836 in Estill Co KY.
Their son, George Washington Moreland, moved to Terre Haute IN. After the death of first wife, he married Catherine Willoughby Brown, daughter of Benjamin Willoughby and Catherine James. They are listed in the 1880 census in Kansas with a two-year old son, George Washington. Another Moreland that married a Willoughby is William Gideon Moreland (grandson of Rhoda), that married Martha Ellen Willoughby.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rhoda by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Rhoda:
