Biography

Married Samuel Smith, a labourer, 04 Apr 1877 in Campbell Town. She was a servant, aged 17 and he was 21.

She died 1 February 1945 in Campbell Town, aged 85. Death notice lists children as:

• William (Ross),
• Eliza (Mrs. A. Davis, Llewellyn),
• Elizabeth (Mrs. Summers, Melbourne),
• James (deceased), Jack (deceased),
• Herbert (St. Marys).
• Maggie (Mrs. L. McGee, Barton) and
• Walter (Melbourne)
• Dorothy (Mrs Heyward, Ormley)

In her obituary it mentions more family:

"The chief mourners were the two sons and three daughters and Messrs. Edward, George and William Willoughby (brothers), Messrs. A. Davis, L.R.Mc- Gee and J. Heyward (sons-in-law). Mrs. Smith leaves 30 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was for many years midwife nurse at Campbell Town."
