Biography

Mercy Wilmot, daughter of Benjamin Wilmot Jr. and wife Elizabeth was baptized 21 May 1648 at the New Haven First Congregational Society. She married Richard Bryan 15 July 1679 in Milford, Connecticut Colony.[1]

Mary WILMOT was born 16 Feb 1646 [1646/7?] in New Haven Colony and was christened 21 May 1648 (with her sister) in New Haven Colony.[2]

She married Richard BRYAN on 15 Jul 1679 in Milford, New Haven, CT. This was Richard's second marriage. He married again, after the death of Mercy, Elizabeth (Hollingsworth) Powell.[3]

"Benjamin, New Haven, s. of the preced. was b. in Eng. and one of the signers of the orig. compact of civ. governm. 1639, unless the signat. be his f's. (wh. is less prob.) m Eliz. wid. of the f. of James Heaton, had Hannah, b. 25 Jan. 1645; Mary as Mr. White reads the rec. or as ano. eye of equal experience made it Mercy, 16 Feb. 1647; both bapt. 21 May 1648; and Eliz. bapt 23 Sept. 1649. He d. 8 Apr. 1651, and his wid. m. 8 Feb. 1660, William Judson; Hannah m. 9 Apr. 1667, Samuel Miles as his sec. w.; Mary or Mercy m. 15 July 1679, but the name of her h. is lost; and Eliz. m. John Mix.
