Notes
From a letter from Dorothy Wilson Eimers to Dave & Kay Wilson in April 1967:
Daniel Wilson was supposed to have been a legislator in Minnesota. He was my father's grandfather. Daddy was born in 1882. His father probably 1860 or thereabouts. That would make Daniel 1830-40. Sometime he lived in Rockford, Ill where Frank Wilson was born (Daddy's father).
One of the tales I remember hearing was that Grandfather Daniel went back to Louisville Kentucky and brought back a bride and her negroe mammy. Her name (bride) was Woolridge.
Somewhere in Kentucky there is a cemetery where members of the Woolridge family are buried. The headstones are animals. The member of the family who supplied them had the stone carved to resemble the deceased. Example - cat for Auntie____. Fox for Uncle Smart, etc. Shelden has a copy of a tourist publication describing the above.
