Biography

(not named) Young was enumerated at Van Wert Post Office, Polk County, Georgia for the July 7, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1869-1870 in Georgia as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Esther Young and female Ophelia Young.[1]

Charley C Wilson was enumerated as son at District 653, Tallapoosa, Haralson County, Georgia for the June 1, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as in school, born 1870 in Georgia and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Cage M Wilson, wife Esta M Wilson, daughter Ofelia Wilson and nephew John H Davis.[2]

Charlie C. Wilson wed Sallie E. Dodd January 22, 1896 in Fulton County, Georgia.[3]

Charles C Wilson was enumerated as head of the household in ED 108 Precinct 22, Jefferson County, Alabama for the June 21, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a mines carpenter and born March 1870 in Georgia. He had been married four years and was a renter as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Sallie E Wilson, daughter Alberta B Wilson, daughter Ester Wilson and daughter Ida Wilson.[4]

Charles C Wilson was enumerated as head of the household in Birmingham at 36th Avenue (or Smith Hill), Ward 13, Jefferson County, Alabama for the April 18, United States Census, 1910. His occupation was a powder maker at the powder mill as seen in an image of the original census. He was noted as born 1870 in Georgia and married. Also included in the household are wife Sarah E Wilson, daughter Burtie Wilson, daughter Esther Wilson, daughter Eva M Wilson, daughter Inez Wilson and son Charlie Wilson.[5]

The family was listed in the 1922-3 telephone book as living at 1530 35th Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama and with telephone number Hemlock-50.[6]

Chas. C. Wilson is the husband listed in the Birmingham, Jefferson County August 5, 1925 Alabama Death of wife Sarah Elizabeth Wilson. Her father was noted as Jno. D. Dodd and her mother Barbara Brown.[7]

Charles C Wilson was enumerated as head of the household at 1530 35th Avenue North, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama for the April 11, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1873 in Georgia and widowed. He was an owner of a home worth $4500 and a watchman at a pipe factory as seen in an image of the original census.[8]

Chas Lwellyn Wilson ? was the father of record for daughter Willie Elsie Wilson when she wed A Preston Cockrell in Jefferson County as recorded of her January 22, 1938 Alabama Marriage. She was living at 1530 North 35th Avenue in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama as seen in the image of the marriage records. Her mother was listed as Sarah Eliz Wood ? (the groom must have provided this incorrect information of her parents). The groom's parents were father Wm Riley Cockrell and mother Sarah Lavonia Durrett.[9]

Charles C. Wilson is the father of record in the Birmingham, Jefferson County October 18, 1959 Alabama Death of daughter Esther Rebecca W. Danforth. The husband was noted as Charles E. Danforth and the mother Sarah Elizabeth Dodd.[10]
