Very little is currently known about William. He worked as a placer in the pottery industry and he had a son in 1893 with Louisa Cyples called George Wilson Cyples. They were not married. When George himself married in 1915 his fathers named was given as William Wilson. This was subsequently crossed out on the marriage certificate(*1).
Louisa Cyples later went on to marry Herbert Edwards.
