Biography

William was born about 1819, probably in Ballygawn, Carncastle, County Antrim, Ireland, the son of Ezekiel Wilson and Mary Ann Unknown.

In 1845 he married Agnes Cameron of Mullaghdoo, Islandmagee in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church. The witnesses were James Towel and Thomas Cameron. At the time of his marriage he is a mariner living in Ballymuldrogh, Islandmagee.^[1][2]

He was a widower when he married Ellen McCartney also of Islandmagee in Joymount Presbyterian Church, Carrickfergus, County Antrim in 1857. The witnesses were James Hamilton and Mary Ann Hamilton. He is still a mariner living in Islandmagee.^[3]
