Biography

James Wilson was a Medical Doctor. He was a surgeon in Marion's Brigade during the Revolutionary War. In 1780 the British burned Dr. Wilson's house, forcing him and his wife Martha to seek shelter in Charlotte, N. C. In 1785 Dr. Wilson was appointed a Justice from Darlington District, S. C.
