Biography

James Wilson was born in 1776 in Trenton, North Carolina. He had at least four children with Ellender or Eleanor Shelfer Wilson between 1798 and 1816. He died abt 1821 in Bedford, Tennessee, at the age of 45.

Research Notes

Find A Grave: Memorial #192110075 states that James is 'not' son of "William (or William Penn) Wilson" William Wilson (abt.1746-1817) and "Nancy / Diana Green / Trott. " Nancy Dianne (Green) Wilson (1753-1817). Previously information in profile stated the following which referred to these parents that have been unlinked. "At time of his birth, his father, William, was 30 and his mother, Nancy, was 2." This statement helps to prove they were not his parents with his mother's age.

Family Search Collaboration for James Wilson states that James, son of William, was born 1803 In Rutherford County and died 1860. No sources seen.
