Born 3rd of 7 children, Fourth sibling of the Wilson sisters, to date we know that Aunt Rosa was a product of Prairie View Normal and Industrial College which preceded A&M. Rosa married Robert Sales and lived most of her life (30 years) in Kansas City, Missouri. We now know, after her husband died in 1937, based somewhat on the 1940 census, she returned to San Antonio to be closer to family. She lived with her sister Ella and her husband John Robinson on No. Palmetto St. In later years, and perhaps senile, she lived with the Tom Holley family in one of the upstairs rooms. Because of close proximity and family dynamics, the kids (Joey, Eileen and myself) spent most time with Aunt Rosa and Aunt Ella. It is unclear how many of the other aunts were living when all three Bailey children were In San Antonio. It must not go unsaid we loved all of them equally.
