Castleton Wilson's origins are unproven and very little information has been found about him. He may be the son of Samuel Wilson and Mary Brooks,[1] but more information is needed.
He appears as Castleton Wilson, a chain bearer on a June 1796 survey in Powell's Valley, Tennessee,[2] and as Cash Wilson on a 1790 Hawkins County, Tennessee voting List. It is presumed that he left Hawkins County by 1800.[1]
Castleton Wilson married Lucy Wyatt on 15 Aug 1815 in Knox County, Kentucky.[3]
Castleton Wilson's date and place of death are unknown, but it is thought that he died before his only child, daughter, Mary "Polly" Wilson, was born on 18 Sep 1815.[4]
