Samuel was the oldest child of Isabella (Larrabee) Willson (1731-1798) and William Willson (1715-1790). The cemetery plot shows no birth or dates for anyone except Isabella. Next to her grave is the large marker shown here with two little markers on each side, one says Samuel and one says Priscilla. His children and his son's children have small markers about 6 or 7 inches wide. Some are missing and broken. He died between 1824 and 1830. [2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel:
Wilson-64959 and Wilson-31576 appear to represent the same person because: Samuel Wilson, m. Priscilla Purinton was probably the son of William Willson. Samuel was most definitely the father of many Wilson's as will be transferred during the merger.
