Norman Lee Wilson was born on 18 September 1928 in Versailles, Morgan, Missouri, United States to Edmund Francis Wilson (1892-1984) and Mildred Carrie Browning (1894-1967).

  1. Raymond Browning Wilson was born on 20 August 1921 in Versailles, Morgan, Missouri, United States. He married Aline Anita Martha Koch (1921-2003) on 13 September 1943. Ray died on 13 February 2003 in Saint Louis, Saint Louis, Missouri, United States.
  2. Ina Frances Wilson was born on 15 July 1923 near Versailles, Morgan, Missouri, United States. She married Homer William Tyler Jr. (1916-1974) about 1945. Ina died on 16 August 2003 in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States.

Norman graduated from Topeka High School in 1946. He then attended Washburn University and Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.

Occupation

He took over the family Florist shop (Wilson Florist) when his father retired and he retired from that in 1990.

Marriage and Family

Norm married Betty JoAnn Brous (1928-2002) on 7 April 1951 in the Central Congregational Church in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas.

Military Service

He enlisted in the United States Navy on 28 June 1948 and was released from duty on 26 January 1950. He was a SeaBee.

Death and Burial

Norman died on 22 July 2009 in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States at the age of 80. He was buried in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas. Headstone available. Garden of Apostles, Lot 360, sp. 2A is the Plot for his wife and he is buried with her and sharing the same stone, but his space number is not given. Find A Grave: Memorial #39779250.
