Hi I was told you are working on Bunch Family I just added few to Bunch family surname Group. Found few things to them. Some us in Virginia group updated them and added the parents correctly. Someone had Rebecca as Wife of Henry I found where she was parent of him. Per Pams family tree and documentation listed on tabs with 3 lines on them mulotto records may need to be looked at for Henry and sons. The cnnespanol link has documents listed partly shown but Henry listed on page 25. I would say since I have dna hits with Bunch family they more Native American then African American. As I have more Asian in my DNA then sub sarahan and I feel that bit actually from Jewish Ancestry as my siblings showing Jewish and I did too on several test and it was changed. President Obama also has the Bunches I found my connection to them and this family listed I connect to Obama 3 times Bunch, Berkheimer, and Goodnights, maybe even more but that don’t exsplain my dna on Gedmatch.–-obamas-kin/

“As a direct result of John Bunch’s petition, a mulatto was defined as someone who was child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a black or Native American,” reported.

Could you look out for these people I have DNA hits to them and don’t know how they connect. T853798 A Mary Floyd Bunch 10.6 16.9 4.9 N/A 2014-03-31 Migration - F2 - F

Hey Billie. It's great to find another relative. I'll try to look at everything you've written. I'm rather slow so please be patient with me. In the meantime why don't you go to Wilson-42454 Sandbox and scroll to the bottom of the profile. I've done the Bunch family outline using the Ancestry paper. Ignore all the funny numbers next to the names. It's just a way to track the line. I'm hoping you can find some of how your family ties in. Be sure and let me know. I'll get with you after I look through the links you sent. Take care - Lucy

Hello Lucy!

I’m conducting the 6-month check in for the US Black Heritage Project. Because we are growing so fast, it’s not always possible for me to see what everyone’s working on.

I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on and if you are still happy being a part of the team. If you need something to work on, we now have a master task list here:

We now have a project badge! Hooray! As soon as I hear back from you that you’d like to continue with the project, I will add the badge to your profile.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Hi Emma,

I've been offline for some time and haven't done any genealogy work of substance. I would like to stay in the project but it's ok with me one way or the other about the badge. I do this with for myself. I hope you're well and staying safe. - Lucy

Nice to meet you too. That's a mouth full of related lol. I'll pull it up to see if I can figure it out. I just love it!

Wow, I had no idea that line went so far back. I just recently started uploading Pat's side of the family. I decided though my kids aren't that interested in genealogy I owe it to my grands to put it all in. I've downloaded this relationship to show them how someone from so far back can figure out today they are related. I can't thank you enough for posting this. I miss him and love anything that reminds me of him. Thank you for making that possible today!

Were six cousins / Twice Removed but that's some line of Underwood's. lol - It doesn't break until your father. Some of them were my grandparents of course that lived in Woodford and Franklin Kentucky. I live in Lexington , Ky. In the relationship finder it notes the same Underwood family being related to Catherine Parr. Other families were Rucker and Fielding, Margaret Offill was Jonathon's wife. ( Tudor-4 /Hellstrom-259 ) . I'm not 100 percent sure about that connection though It looked possible. Anyway ! Hi Cousin ! lol !

Hi cuz! This is a great family line just full of people who became self made professionals. Back that far it was full of either doctors or lawyers. Most of those doctors were taught by a family member. Those were the days lol. This is so crazy because on another tab I actually have Margaret Offill pulled up on Ancestry trying to help another one of my cousins figure out a relationship. It really is a small world. Do you by chance have any info at all on the Wilson's. I never thought it would be my maiden name that would have me stumped. It's frustrating beyond words and I'd love to figure it out before my Daddy dies. He's 85 so I feel rushed though if you look at those Underwood dates he might have quite some time left. We have a cousin who knew the later Underwoods and know that a Wilson lived, I think across the street from them but she can't remember who. Maybe I'll get lucky. Take care and stay in touch.

Thank you for your response. I don't have any Wilsons in my tree or all these Underwood's listed in association with you in my tree either but I get new matches all the time with the name Wilson highlighted in green in response to my DNA relationships at Ancestry. I have a picture of Emerine Underwood Booe with my mom , Jenny Booe Wade and Ruby Wade that was taken in about 1934 or near that date. In Fountain ! Emerine lived in Fountain for her entire life. She was mom's great grandmother. As far as the Green family , maybe you can find them in a city directory if they lived across the street from your dad and you guys have that address. I don't have an activate account at Ancestry or I might be of better help. I love the fact that the Underwood family was so well noted. If your send me some more specific information , I'll try to look through my DNA Matches at Ancestry. Maybe you can find a City Directory here. -

Hi! Thanks for the fix on Friend-22. I don't remember why I was manager, but I'm not related, so I've removed myself. In case you're related, I thought I'd let you know she's an orphaned profile now.

Cheers, Liz

Hey Liz,

I have to hardest time figuring out which one of my pages has all the messages. I sure didn't mean to ignore this. I don't think I'm related but I went ahead and adopted her because I'm a sucker for profiles that are alone lol. Thanks for letting me know. I was able to add a source that said she was born in Ky and that she had a son. I'm going to add him to my "to do" list. Take care and thanks again.

Lucy, when numbered months were used in English-speaking places in the era of the Julian calendar, they cannot be interpreted the same way we interpret numbered months today. The Julian year began in March (on March 25), so March was 1st month. There's a 2-month offset. September was the 7th month (note the Latin root of September), October the 8th month, etc.

Hi Lucy, thanks for the biography of Valentian III from a quick glance is looks great. I'll probably not have time till the weekend to add it to his profile though.

Thanks for the note, Lucy. It was fun chatting with you throughout the event. I found the video chat times and links from a link on the Connect-a-Thon page but the only way I remembers was with reminders set in my GoogleCalendar LOL Next up is the Source-a-Thon in October. I hope you'll join us then.
