Benjamin D "Doke" Wilson was born on October 16, 1846 in Tennessee[1] He was the son of Benjamin Wilson and Mary Scott.
He married Thursey 'Angeline' Seal (1847-1930) on January 22, 1867 in Cannon County, Tennessee, at the age of 20.[2] They had 5 children, with only 2 living in 1900.[3]
They lived in South Fork Twp., Clark County, Arkansas in 1880, where he was farming. Their daughter Fannie age 10, was the only child in the home at the time.[4]
They made their home in Lamar County, Texas in 1900, where he was working at a Saw Mill, and she was taking care of the home, Daughter, Barbara-21, and 3 boarders.[3]
They moved to Pushmataha County, Oklahoma by 1908, as he was appointed Postmaster on October 15, 1908.[5] In 1920, he was a Proprietor of a Grocery Store in Pushamataha County.[6]
He passed away on August 24, 1923, at the age of 76, and was buried in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, Murray County, Oklahoma.[1]
