Biography

Lovina Wilson was born about 1884 in Kansas. She was the daughter of Byron Bernard Wilson (1857-1932) and Emma Amelia Mahler (1862-1931). She had eleven siblings; Walter Scott (1881-1956), Ora May (1882-1898), Bertha Maude (188701952), Brother (1889-1889), Byron Clyde (1890-1944), Thomas Lafayette (1892-1963), Mabel Emma (1895-1982), Ralph Alvin (1898-1902), Melvin Evert (1900-1934), Mildred Fern (1902-1958) and Dewey (1904-??). Her family was living in Trinadad, Las Animas county, Colorado in 1900.[1]

She married Albert Jackson in about 1903, possibly in Nebraska or Kansas. Bert was the son of John Alexander Jackson (1820-1902) and Rhoda Ann Harp (1834-1895). Their first two children were born in Kansas; Rhoda 1904, Wilma 1906 and their remaining children were born in Nebraska; Robert 1909, Byron 1916 and Ada 1916. In 1910, they were living in Gillaspie township of Cherry county in the Nebraska Sandhills.[2] In 1920 they were living in Kennedy, where they lived the rest of their lives.[3][4]

Bert died on 2 September 1937 in Cherry county, Nebraska. His body was buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine. Fannie remained on the family ranch. A son, daughter and a daughter-in-law were living with her in 1940 in Kennedy.[5] Lovina passed away in 1974.[6]
