Walker was born before 1800. Walker and Susan came to Texas before 1835. He received a Spanish Land Grant in Travis County March 12, 1835. He was in the seige of Bexar in December of 1835. He joined the Mina (early name for Bastrop) Volunteers on February 28, 1836. He fought at the Battle of San Jacinto and received 640 acres of land.
