On 07 Mar 1831 Alsey Sanders, of Marion County, Georgia (formerly of Upson County, Georgia), attorney for Balaam Dowdy of Habersham County, Georgia, sold Lot #36 in the 10th District of Houston County, Georgia (202 acres) to Irwin Wilson of Houston County, Georgia.[4][5]

Irwin appears in a list of Houston County, Georgia Sherriff's Sales to be held in May 1832 at the door of the Houston County, Georgia Courthouse for the following property:

One lot of land with grist mill...leveied on as the property of Burwell Wilson and Irwin Wilson to satisfy executions or fi fas in favor of John R. Cain.[6][7]

On 24 Feb 1832 Irwin Wilson of Houston County, Georgia sold for $100 to Jacob Shirah of Houston County, Georgia Lot #36 in the 10th District of Houston County, Georgia (202.5 acres), the deed being witnessed by William Wilson and Burwell Wilson.[8][9]

On 08 Feb 1833 Irwin and Obediah Wilson were witnesses to two deeds wherein Jacob Shirah sold to Burwell Wilson, both of Houston County, Georgia, Lot #243 in the 6th District of Houston County, Georgia (202 1/2 acres), which Burrell then sold to Alexander Wilson.[9]

He appears on a list of letter remaining in the post office at Perry, Houston County, Georigs on 01 Apr 1835 in the 09 Apr 1835 issue of the Macon Telegraph newspaper.[6]

On 21 Jul 1836 Irwin Wilson of Houston County, Georgia sold to Samuel Davis of Houston County for $400, the eastern half of Lot #242 in the 6th District of Houston County, Georgia (101 acres).[10][5]

He married wife Margarett by 1850[2]and had the following known children:

  1. Legrand Wilson was born in Georgia about 1842.[2]
  2. Delila Wilson was born in Georgia about 1844.[2]
  3. Martha Wilson was born in Georgia about 1846.[2]
  4. Hansell Wilson was born in Georgia about 1847.[2]
  5. Irvin Wilson was born in Georgia about 1849.[2]
