Francis (Wilson) Thomas is a part of US Black heritage.

Francis was born in 1882. She is the daughter of Willis Wilson and Marcelite Ardoin.[1]

The 1900 U.S. Census shows Francoise at age 19 in the home of her parents in Ville Platte, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. [2]

Francis married Orelin "Otis" Thomas about 1902. They had 11 children: [3]

The 1910 Census[4] shows Francois at age 28 with her husband, four children, and her mother in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. Her language is French.

The 1940 Census[5] shows her at age 53 with her husband and five children in McDaniels Township, McIntosh County, Oklahoma.

The 1950 Census[6] shows her at age 69 with her husband, one daughter, and a grandson in Schulter Township, Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

She died on 18 Dec 1961 in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. [7] Excerpted from her obituary: [8]

"Mrs. Frances Thomas, 81, 1021 North Chickasaw, died Monday in a local hospital. She was born in Louisiana, January 25, 1880 and has lived in Okmulgee for 40 years.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs Ezola Dalcour, Okmulgee; Mrs. Martha Barre and Mrs. Edolia Montgomery, Tulsa; Mrs. Arlina Williams, Houston, Tex.; five sons, Melvin Thomas, and Cleveland Thomas, Fort Austin, Tex.; Alvin Thomas, Los Angeles; Wilburt Thomas and Calvin Thomas, Tulsa; two brothers, Buddy Wilson, Preston and Austin Wilson, Okmulgee, 35 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive." [8]
