Eustace Garnet Wilson

Eustace Garnet Wilson was born on 26 September 1897 at Raukkan, Point McLeay, South Australia, Australia, the youngest son of John Sewsty Wilson and Eliza Wilkins [1].


Garnet Wilson is an Anzac who served in World War One.

He enlisted 27 April 1916, and sailed together with his cousin Private Cyril Spurgeon Rigney, who was Killed in Action in Belgium on 3 July 1917 when only 20 years old [2] to England on the "Seeang Bee" as part of the 50th Infantry Battalion and was posted to France with the 43rd Battalion. Eustace was Discharged on 14 August 1919 [3].

He married Dulcie Rigney, the daughter of Edward and Essie Rigney (nee Wilkins) in 1924 at Point McLeay, South Australia, Australia [4]. They had fifteen children; Betty Wilson, Nina Wilson, Garnett Wilson, Edward Wilson, Pearl Wilson, Shirley Wilson, Valda Wilson, Vina Wilson, John Wilson, Ray Wilson, Rex Wilson, Gloria Wilson, Daryl Wilson, Rosslyn Wilson and Daryl Wilson.


Garnet Wilson is an Anzac who served in World War Two.

He re-enlisted on 31 May 1942 for service in the Second World War and served in the Citizen Military Forces (CMF) and was discharged on 11 January 1945.

Garnet died on 5 September 1962 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia [5].
