Biography

Sarah was born in 1820. She passed away in 1892. Sarah was a convict. She was convicted of larceny from a person and sentenced to 7 years. She came to Tasmania, Australia on board the convict ship "Majestic". The Majestic departed on the 1st October 1838 and arrived in Van Diemen's land on 22nd January 1839. Sarah changed her name to Ellen McCarthy. She applied for permission to get married on 15th February 1840. She died under the name Ellen Fry.
