Jean was the daughter of John Wilson and Ann Etherington. No christening has been identified for Jean but her daughter and husband are mentioned in her mother's will as 'Mary Ann, daughter of my late son-in-law Thomas Isaac Millington'[1].
In 1793 at St Alphage, Jean married Thomas Isaac Millington[2]. Witnesses included Ann Wilson, John Wilson, Mary Millington and Elizabeth Millington. There is no mention of Jean being a minor in the marriage entry, so it is assumed that she was at least 21 years old at the time.
As a widow of Greenwich, Kent, Jean executed her will on 24 July 1812, naming her brother James Wilson, and her brother-in-law William Soltau her executors. James and William obtained probate at London on 4 September 1812. In the will she mentions her mother Ann Wilson of Morton near Gainsborough widow, her nieces Jane and Hester, daughters of James Wilson and 'all my children'[3].
She passed away in 1812 and was buried on 9 August at St Alphage, Greenwich, Kent[4].
