Walter Clifford Wilson was born on the 6th of November 1888 in New York, United States of America, the son of Walter and Elizabeth Wilson nee Devaney, His parents married on the 30 Apr 1888 at Manhatten. Walter's father lived at N Y, 474 W 22nd [1]
Hypothesis - Walter was really born in August 1888 but as this was only 4 months after the parents wedding, the birth date of 6th November 1888 was used for him. This would explain the mention of a private baptism in Aug 1888 as shown below.
There is a Roman Catholic baptism of a Walter Clifton Wilson on the 11th of January 1889 at St Francis Xavier in Manhattan, the son of Walter Wilson and Elizabeth Diving. Walters birth date is an exact match of the 6th of November 1888. It says the parents are residents of Canada. However when you look at the original image of this baptism, it looks like the mother's surname is actually Devanny and the witnesses are Mary Devanny and H.C. Devanny. [2]. Walter's sister Florence Clementine Wilson was baptised here a year later to the same mother named Lizzie De Vaney, strangely it looks like Walter was again baptised again then to and it says in the notes private baptism Aug 1888 and there is more in the other margin but cannot be easily read - it looks like ceremonies supplied Oct 30/90. [3]

1911 census - not found in Canada, some of his family members were in Maine at this time so he may have also been in America. There is a Walter Wilson living in Manhattan on the 1910 American census, but I am pretty sure this isn't a match as he is of English descent and is working on the docks. - checked 8th of May 2021.
Mary Ann Clancey married Walter Clifford Wilson on the 07 Nov 1912 at St Mary's Cathedral, Halifax. Walter was 22 and Mary was 16, they were married as Roman Catholic by license, probably because of Mary's age and their first child being born 6 months after the wedding. It says Walter's occupation was Driver and his parents were Walter and Elizabeth Wilson, and that Mary's parents were James and Margaret Clancey. (this is a strange name mistake on the records as she was Mary) [5]
Mary and Walter had 10 children
Mary was a witness at her brother John's wedding in 1914.
