Biography

Bruce Leo Wilson was born in 1888. He was the third child born into the Catholic family of Margaret and James Wilson. His mother died when he was only two years old and his father remarried and had several more children so Bruce went to live with his maternal grandmother and a cousin. He moved out to Colorado and met and married [Adeline Hendren|Hendren-624]. They had two children before he was drafted into the service in World War I. During his Naval service, Bruce learned the steelwork trade that would be his profession for the rest of his life. He also had two more children with Adeline.

In 1931, Bruce and Adeline divorced. She continued to live in Colorado, but after meeting [Emma Burkhalter|Burkhalter-660], Bruce remarried in late 1931 and moved with Emma to Seattle. In 1937, Bruce's youngest son Dennis came to live with him in Seattle after Adeline passed away. By 1950, Bruce and Emma had an empty nest. Dennis moved away and the couple never had children of their own. They traveled sometimes, and when Bruce retired, they moved to sunny Los Angeles until he passed away in 1963. He is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park next to Emma.
