Biography

Ethel L. Wilson was born on 01 April 1915 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States.^[1] She was the daughter of John "Jack" Wilson and Lillian A. (Morgan) Wilson (~1893 - 1915).^[2]

Very little has been learned about her father except that he was born about 1884. No records have been located for him after Ethel's birth. Ethel's mother passed away from tuberculosis when Ethel was only two and one-half months old. Ethel was enumerated living in the household of her maternal step-grandfather, Augustus V. Deubler in Maricopa County, Arizona, when the 1920 United States Census was taken. At that time Ethel was 4 years old.^[3]

When the 1930 United States Census was taken, Ethel, age 15 years, was recorded in the Maricopa County household of her step-aunt and husband, Augustine and Alfred Dymock.^[4]

A 1950 United States Census record for Ethel has not yet been located.

Ethel was married to Jesse Jason Bacon (1903-1969) sometime after 1945. He was named in her obituary.^[5]

Ethel (Wilson) Bacon passed away on 14 January 1969 at the age of 53 in Arizona.^[1] She was buried in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.^{[5] [6]}
