Biography

Isaac was born on 16 November 1827 in Bridgeton, Parke County, Indiana, the fourth of nine known children and the third of five sons of Jacob and Elizabeth Mills Wimmer.

On 28 November 1848, about ten days after he turned twenty-one Isaac married Phoebe Ann Davis in Parke County, Indiana, and they had seven known children, two sons and five daughters:

When he was seventy-nine, Isaac died of unknown causes in Rockville, Parke County, Indiana. He is buried there in in Blake Cemetery. The Reverend Laurence O. Blake conducted the services.

Bio: His Paternal Grandmother was Hannah Lemon Wimmer (1776-1877). She is considered the matriarch of our modern family.Ike's Father was Jacob Wimmer (1797-1860) and his Mother was Elizabeth "Eliza" Mills (1797-1855). Ike was 5th of 11 children.He and Phebe were married November 28, 1848 and had 10 children, 8 of whom lived to adulthood.He owned a store in the Bellmore area until about 1854 and then took up farming in Union.
