Biography

Clifford Crump Windsor was born on 12 Jul 1885 in Missouri to Alfred Rees Windsor and Sarah Ellen Veirs; he had a twin brother named Clarence V. Windsor. He married Ida Belle Love on 20 May 1909 in Callaway County, Missouri; they had 7 children. [1][2] He died on 16 July 1969 in Williamsburg, Missouri and is buried next to his wife at Oak Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg, Missouri.[3][4]

United States Census History

1900: Clifford C Windsor is enumerated in his parents' household in Nine Mile Prairie Township, Missouri. He is 14 years old and lives with his parents, 9 other siblings, and maternal grandmother. He attended school and can read and write.[5]

1910: Clifford Windsor is enumerated as Head of Household in Paha, Washington; the family rents the home. He is 24 years old, lives with his wife and infant son, and has been married for one year. He is employed as an operator for NP Ry Co.[6]

1920: Clifford Windsor is enumerated as Head of Household in Nine Mile Prairie, Missouri; he owns the home, which is mortgaged. He is 34 years old and lives with his wife, 5 children, father, and brother. He works as a farmer and is able to read and write.[7]

1930: Clifford C Windsor is enumerated as Head of Household in Nine Mile Prairie, Missouri; he owns the home, which is listed as a farm. He is 44 years old and lives with his wife and 7 children. The family owns a radio. He works as a farmer on his own account. He is able to read and write.[8]

1940: Clifford C Windsor is enumerated as Head of Household in Nine Mile Prairie, Missouri. He owns the home, which is listed as a farm, valued at $1000. Clifford lives with his wife, 2 children, and a hired farmhand named Walter Dismuke. Clifford is 54 years old; he attended school up until the first year of high school.[9]
