Kristin was born at Brooke Army Medical Center. She lived in Maryland and Bavaria, Germany before returning to Texas just before turning 16. She graduated high school in El Paso and started college at the University of Texas. She earned a Biology B.S. and composite science certification to teach from West Texas A&M. She currently teaches various science classes in a small-town school in Texas.
