Biography
Charles Henry Winks was born in 1829,[1] the son of Henry Winks and Rachel (nee Collins) Winks.
He married Agnes Esther Hare. No further details are known.
He came to Melbourne in 1853.
The obituary states that he was the father of nine children.[1]
He died in 1900,[2] at Castlemaine.[3][4][5] The death notices do not give further details of the place of death.
In his son's (George) marriage notice in 1914, George's parents are described as "Mrs. and the late George Winks of London Villa, Castlemaine."[6]
